Australia Strongman NEWS!!25-03-2012
FASC president Bill Lyndon just sended US the letter, which can be seen below about their attempt to make the strognman event bigger and better for everyone in the nation.
From our view this kind of action is very respectful for the sport and we strongly suggest, that everyone who is or is planning to take part to the sport of strongman in the territory of Austalia takes part to this meeting and see it as an opportunity to make things huge. Australian Strongman Amnesty.
The Federation of Australian Strength Competitors is offering all Australian Strongman Athletes and promoters an opportunity to be involved in all FASC sanctioned Events including The Official Australia’s Strongest man Qualifying Tour, Australia’s Strongest Man, Southern Hemispheres Strongest Man and Giants Live Down under. There have been past issues that have fractured relationships with different promoting groups and individual Athletes including Top Australian Strongman Warrick Brant, most issues are caused by social media and forums which in some cases have caused serious riffs and difficult pre event negotiations…this is an opportunity for all to clean the slate and start fresh. In the traditions of strength Athletics which is viewed by the older generations in strongman as a gentleman’s sport, the FASC see’s the importance in having all groups and Athletes present in one place talking and in some cases meeting face to face for the first time to discuss the future development of the sport down under with the intention to bring all together in one organization to have the best and Strongest men representing Australia. The meeting will take place in Melbourne in late April and is open to all active promoters Australia wide and to all Athletes who wish to compete at the professional level at National and International Level.
